As we ease into the final week of the first month of a new calendar year, how are you doing? How are you feeling? How are your Vibes and Energy?
Who are you becoming today? Who do you want to be and/or become in 2023?
There is a possibility to become who we want to and become what we believe.
There is a possibility to be the highest and best version of ourselves.
Who or whatever that answer is, you are putting that work in daily, consciously and subconsciously as we are constantly creating who we are.
What do you mean?
Well, we are perpetually ingesting and consuming and in that, we are constantly creating who we are — What we eat, what we listen to, what we watch, who we are around, what we wear, etc. all contribute to who we are becoming. This also impacts how we are healing and how we are growing each moment and each day.
We don’t have to be stuck in or relegated to our past feelings, actions, emotions or experiences. We also don’t have to let these things define us in moving fwd. Because we have the opportunity to heal, grow and become who and what we believe because we know infinite possibilities exist. If it’s something you wish you can change, forgive yourself and give yourself some grace for whatever was in the past. Whatever that was, happened and it’s gone and done and now you have the opportunity to put that in your life CV as experience and expand into your next chapter, your next opportunity and become who and what you want and who and what you believe.
You also don’t need to think that your growth, healing or development comes from the mud, challenges, a dark night of the soul, or suffering over time. It can come in the moments, times, places, people and things that bring you happiness or joy.
Here are a few things to think about, be mindful of and practice this week and beyond to become who you want to be and what you believe:
Be Intentional about your day, week and time. Spend time the way you choose with the people, things, places, objects, music, food, etc. that lift you up. Take a day or two to audit where your time and energy is spent and put. See what adjustments you can make for more purposeful intention. More purposeful intention has more meaning and can get you closer to where you want to be.
Activate a daily moment of Joy or Happiness — Take 5 to 15 minutes a day doing something or spending time the way you choose in something that brings you joy and adds to your happiness. Be present and notice what it feels like in the experience. How does this contribute to your healing and wholeness? What would it look like to have more of your day and time experiencing this feeling?
Everything is food. What you put in, is what you get out — Be mindful and pay attention to who you’re around, what you’re watching, what you’re listening to and what you’re putting in and on your body — Everything is food. What you put in is what you get out. You know when you consume cheap, crappy or non-nutritious food or drink your body(usually your stomach) feels for it and you pay for it in one way or another? The same applies to your life. If you’re around crappy people, you’ll become a crappy person. If you watch programming, with yelling, arguing, or violence subconsciously you’re training your mind to react and respond in that manner when challenges arise in your life. If you listen to sad music, you’re training your mind to be sad. Is what you’re putting into yourself contributing to who you want to be or become?
If you slip up, fall off or forget, know that it’s okay. You’re human and we all mess up and come short. Don’t have any judgment on yourself. Let it go and do what you can to get back on and to who and what you want to become.
Stay consistent. It’s challenging but consistency is how and where transformation takes place. The more you shoot and make a 15-foot jumper in practice, the easier it becomes to make that shot in the game. The more intentional you are or spend time on your mindset, your choices and your actions to become what you believe the closer you are to being and becoming who you want and what you believe daily in life.
