Passive breathing is something we do daily and that we may not have full awareness doing. We’re allowing our breath to go in and out of our noses naturally and almost effortlessly while doing whatever it is we’re doing. But with and in breathing exercises, it’s something active that brings you to the present where you have to be fully here and now to do it. You’re not thinking about what you need to do, where you need to be, the deadline or anything else. Your attention is fully in and on your breathing.
