It’s Mental Health Awareness Month and a lot of us are navigating through a myriad of mental health challenges on a daily basis where we need tangible tools, resources and support to get to the other side of our wellbeing.

Scientific research has proven that regular practice of Mindfulness can have several benefits for mental health and wellbeing. That information is certainly nice to know and have, but what good does it do if we are unable to apply it? A lot of the time as humans we know what we need to do to get or be better, but we struggle with taking the first step. Like in anything taking action and moving forward can sometimes seem scary and we can’t see past whatever is in front of us. But we figure out that once we make the move or take the jump it actually wasn’t that bad and we can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Regular practice of mindfulness techniques, such as meditation or breathing exercises, can help individuals develop resilience and cope with challenging situations more effectively.

By practicing mindfulness, we can cultivate a state of non-judgmental awareness and focus on the present moment. This can help reduce stress, anxiety, and depression by allowing us to observe our thoughts and emotions without getting caught up in them.
Mindfulness can enhance:

  • self-awareness,

  • promote emotional regulation,

  • and improve overall well-being.

and help us to cultivate different mindful states like Calm, Joy, rest, etc.
