Being hard on ourselves + What you're experiencing is not a reflection of who you are feat. Darian Symoné Harvin

I spoke with Darian Symoné Harvin about being hard on ourselves and a few other things in my weekly Vibe Check Mid-week reset.

When we have projects we’re working on and life happening as it does personally, it can be very easy to get distracted. Like Darian, I too get ideas and downloads on new creative projects, content, collaborations and more. A lot came up in our conversation and it’s like we connected on everything. For example, the struggle in being patient with ourselves is something we connected on because it feels like when we get those ideas, they are things that need to be brought to or shared with the world immediately. When in fact, we don’t need to be so hard on ourselves, but we also need to be patient and know that the idea, project or whatever is going to happen and come to life at the right time.

When we are hard on ourselves, that can sometimes induce negative feelings/moods stress, anxiety or more. But what if we told ourselves “what I am going through and, or experiencing is not a reflection of who I am because I know who I am” in down moments? Could that ease the stress and shed the anxiety we may experience? Maybe so.
